This nature photo was taken on the edge of the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge and is one of our favorite get away's.  The refuge is a goldmine of hiking trails knitted with wildlife.  Birds, rattlesnakes, elk, prairie dogs and buffalo are just a few of the critters that you might meet during your visit.

The nature center at the Refuge is unrivaled.
