Although
now closed to the public, the Jed Johnson Tower in the
Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge is a pinnacle
of beauty set in stone. A short 15 minute hike along
a dirt trail leads the way to the tower which looms
in the distance. The area around the tower is a perfect
space to spot colorful lizards indigenous to the mountains.
