What a beautiful big boy! Taken in late September at the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma, this bison was a very patient subject. The photo was taken from the car with great caution. One should never approach wildlife without great thought as they are unpredictable and without warning, a fun day can turn into a run-for-your-life day.
