ND Filters & Polarizing Filters for Digital Photography

An ND filter or a neutral density filter reduces the amount of light coming into the lens and allows the photographer to use lower shutter speeds with higher ISO settings.

If you've ever seen a photo of a waterfall and the water appears very smooth - and it's an effect that you too wish to create, you can do such with an ND filter.

Polarizing Filter

A polarizing filter is used to eliminate reflections off of glass surfaces and also is used to darken blue skies in landscape photography.
